Accounting software could help firms avoid missed deadlines

11th May

Category: Accounting software

All businesses must aim to meet a deadline to register their financial results with Companies House each year, although it seems this is not something that News International has achieved in the latest round of submissions.

Roy Greenslade, writing for the Guardian, has told how the news organisation has missed the deadline for entering its figures for the year to June 30th 2011.

It was supposed to have submitted the results by March 31st, although it successfully asked for a month's extension. But it has now missed the April 30th cut-off point too.

In order to avoid such issues, companies might be wise to invest in accounting software, which can help them to conduct financial reports and analysis quickly and efficiently.

Earlier this week, the newspaper described compiling financial results as a "daunting task".

However, it might be that much easier with the help of the very latest technology that is designed to ensure accuracy.
