Accounting software ‘will reduce business costs’

20th January

Category: Accounting software

Businesses have been advised that accounting software is sure to help them slash their operational costs.

Malcolm Trotter, chief executive of the International Association of Book-keepers, explained there are many benefits enjoyed by those who use the technology.

Indeed, a reduction in expenditure is just the start of the advantages, which also include the potential to introduce other systems – such as online banking – in an automated fashion.

"[Another benefit is easy] access to information. You can immediately see at a push of a button what your cash flow situation is and what the debtors are to your business," Mr Trotter continued.

He went on to note that such factors can make a crucial difference during these difficult economic times, so bosses should invest in both accounting software and training on how to use it, before reaping the significant rewards.

Accounting software could also help organisations enjoy tighter security and better organisation, which may help those in the public sector after a PricewaterhouseCoopers survey found they are at increasing risk of employee fraud.
