One of the leading figures at enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems provider SAP has been praising the company’s triumphs through the recent economic downturn.
In an interview with Pratima Harigunani, of CIOL.com, SAP India chief operating officer Alok Goyal acknowledged the market has been tough but stated the Germany-based firm has emerged unscathed.
Mr Goyal said: "We all feared attrition would be an issue, but we are proud to say we haven’t faced the issue at all. So, all looks bright."
This sentiment was echoed by the journalist, who noted the enterprise - which produces ERP systems such as SAP Business One - has "a dauntless head and lion-hearted guts" and is now back "in full steam".
Simon Holloway recently predicted SAP’s acquisition of Sybase will enable the technology provider to further its expansion into the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) market, especially through its SME-targeted SAP Business One ERP product.
