Citrix and Microsoft ‘work so well together’

26th July

Category: Virtualisation

Citrix and Microsoft both strive to deliver a reliable and flexible virtualisation experience, it has been suggested.

Writing for Virtualization Review, Bruce Hoard noted the two companies "have worked so well together for so long".

The industry expert quoted Brad Anderson, corporate vice-president of management and services division at Microsoft, who said: "When I think about the best way to work with us, I use Citrix as the example."

Mr Hoard observed the two virtual software providers aim to produce top-of-the-line, full-featured desktop solutions with the goal of developing models that offer desktop experiences anywhere and anytime.

Reduced energy consumption is another target for the duo, along with more simplified desktop lifestyle management and centralised operational control, he added.

Sumit Dhawan, vice-president of marketing for the Citrix XenDesktop product, recently claimed the alliance between his firm and Microsoft offers deep experience and a history of innovation to potential customers in the virtualisation market.
