Category: Virtualisation

Citrix Systems has been awarded an accolade for its achievements in virtualisation.

The company has been handed the Members Choice Award for Top Virtualisation Solution by the Code Project.

It was given out as part of the Code Project Annual Members Choice Awards, which determine the best development products as chosen by its community members to reflect the perceptions of what is valued most by customers.

Of the prize-givers, Jeff Hadfield, president of the online developer community, said: "Their experience and expertise give them the insight to highlight the best products and tools in the industry, but also encourage continued innovation and excellence from vendors like Citrix."

The virtual software provider said the maturity of its XenServer platform has enabled businesses to leverage virtualisation for cost-effective datacentre automation.

Citrix XenServer was recently placed by Gartner in the Visionaries Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for x86 Server Virtualisation Infrastructure - an evaluation based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.
