Citrix XenApp 6 has increased the efficiency of application streaming through additional functionality in NT Services isolation.
This is according to Joseph Nord, XenApp installation architect for the organisation, who stated that it simplifies a range of procedures for administrators.
"It’s a big deal, fulfilling one of the last remaining big-ticket items in the isolation capabilities of the streaming system," he remarked.
According to Mr Nord, the feature was added after customer enquiries revealed clients found it to be something lacking from all previous incarnations of the platform.
Using it is simple, he added, although designing the technology to enable this level of effectiveness was the "difficult thing".
Made available for download earlier this week, XenApp 6 is described by Citrix as the "de facto standard in on-demand application delivery".
General manager of system centre marketing and tools at Microsoft Garth Fort also praised the product recently, noting it provides "increasing value" to businesses.
