Businesses have been advised that upon implementing cloud computing technology, they will be met by a raft of rapid benefits.

Phil Wainewright, vice-president of EuroCloud, explained one of the key advantages of the solution is that there is very little hassle when it comes to installing it.

He said there is no need to ensure every aspect of the set-up is spot on prior to running it.

"The customer can get straight on and concentrate on achieving business results with the technology, rather than having to go through all the palaver of implementation," Mr Wainewright noted.

He went on to suggest that cloud computing is actually more complex than many people realise, stating it is about far more than securing computing power on demand.

The International Data Corporation recently identified cloud computing as one option that it believes will drive an increase in IT spending over the coming years, as more firms turn to it for optimum results.
