The benefits of cloud computing are unlikely to be new to any business leader worthy of his position, as the technology has swept throughout the commercial world in recent times.
Whether it is the cloud's efficient storage system that allows large volumes of data to be kept as though it is on an extension of a network or its ability to reduce costs, improve availability and offer access on the go, there is something for every firm to benefit from in the solution.
Bernard Golden, writing for IT World, has had his say on the cloud, noting it is ideal for both financial and agility reasons.
The author suggested the cost of IT is a critical factor in the running of many companies. He went on to state that it is possible for users of the cloud to not only reduce their expenditure but also to improve agility.
A report by IHS iSuppli recently predicted the take-up of cloud computing will continue to expand and by 2015 it will be the fastest-growing sector of the server market.
