The benefits of cloud computing are far reaching and extensive, allowing companies to enjoy lower costs, higher efficiency and increased productivity.
This is not to mention the steps forward firms can make in terms of disaster recovery, data management and information security when they invest in the technology.
Last year, the BBC declared cloud computing had "gone mainstream", as businesses rushed to transfer their operations to the hi-tech system.
Now, Logan Harbaugh, writing for PC World, has had his say on cloud computing, suggesting there are six major advantages to adopting it.
Firstly, it allows users to save expenditure on infrastructure, as they instead use the platform provided by a cloud operator, while there are also reductions in set-up and management methods.
Clients can then make cutbacks on utility bills, enjoy a greater performance from their solutions, be stronger when it comes to overcoming faults and boast enhanced agility.
