Cloud computing technology is now one of the staple ingredients of many great British businesses, helping bosses to store information and offer services via an online platform.
Its rise to prominence is not a surprise to some experts and, indeed, only this month Seth Robinson, one of the authors of the CompTIA second annual Trends in Cloud Computing report, predicted it will become an even greater feature of British business.
He quoted research that found 32 per cent of companies already use platform and infrastructure as a service technology, while another 36 per cent are considering it.
Now, Forbes writer Joe McKendrick has had his say, suggesting there was once a time when firms that brokered services were feared.
However, these are now said to be among the market's top-performing companies, delivering services via technology – and this is thanks to cloud computing.
Mr McKendrick added that the technology results in financial savings, improved agility and less reliance on IT assets.
