Cloud computing ‘to be rolled out in 75% of call centres’

Category: Virtualisation

Call centres are an area in which cloud computing looks set to have a massive effect in the months and years to come.

A prediction by Gartner Research, reported by US scheduling company Appointment-Plus, suggests some 75 per cent of all call centres will have adopted the technology by the end of 2013.

It noted that there is an obvious and significant need for the cloud in the majority of such facilities around the world.

Both small and medium-sized enterprises and large businesses are turning to software as a service as they look to follow their ideal working procedures.

Paul Green, an author and small business expert at Paulgreen.biz, recently had his say on the cloud, describing it as a solution that can help companies save money.

He suggested areas such as hardware costs and maintenance levies can be lowered if the cloud is in operation within a modern business.
