An IT company has been confirmed as the latest user of technology from enterprise resource planning (ERP) software specialist SAP.
Atos, an international services provider in the IT industry, is to adopt a SAP application that is designed to trigger greater levels of sustainability.
It is said to have a number of eco-friendly goals that it believes can be achieved by using the solutions on offer from the manufacturer.
SAP explained that Atos will be able to collect relevant information and create reports that help it to map out a path to ultimate sustainability levels quickly and easily.
Phillippe Mareine, executive vice-president and general secretary of corporate and social responsibility at Atos, said: "With SAP solutions, we can proactively monitor and manage the group's key environmental and social indicators across our sites worldwide, so we can accelerate our strategic commitments to green operations and employees' wellbeing."
Earlier this month, SAP confirmed it is on track to meet its sustainability targets for 2011.
