Demand for SAP software holds up around the world

25th January

Category: ERP Software

SAP - a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software - has announced that its products are in demand in many different markets.

According to the company, it continued to thrive in a very "uncertain" financial environment during 2011.

This, it said, helped it to outpace its competitors and enjoy the best 12 months in its history.

Jim Hagemann Snabe and Bill McDermott, SAP's co-chief executives, are therefore confident about the outlook for the year ahead.

"We have significant momentum going into 2012, as our customers continue to benefit from faster innovation [and] easier adoption," they commented.

Mr Hagemann Snabe and Mr McDermott added that SAP is now the leader in the enterprise applications market, as well as in the analytics and mobile sectors.

This comes after SAP announced it has acquired SAF Simulation, Analysis and Forecasting, which specialises in automated ordering and forecasting software, as well as workforce performance specialist datango.
