One of the leading desktop virtualisation solutions providers in the world has reported its latest financial results, describing growth as "solid".
VMware revealed that it enjoyed a 32 per cent expansion in year-on-year revenue to $942 million (£599 million) in the third quarter of 2011.
The company also explained its operating margin hit 19.2 per cent, while cash flow growth was found to be 72 per cent up at $1.8 billion.
Mark Peek, chief financial officer at the firm, said: "VMware's third quarter results were driven by growth across all products. Demand was especially strong in the Asia Pacific markets and we also experienced the seasonal impact of sales to the US federal government."
Operating income for the three-month period was $181 million and net income was recorded as $178 million.
VMware is the world's leader in virtualisation and cloud products and provides tools that are proven to instigate positive results.
