SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is being teamed with the storage solutions offered by another firm to create a high-quality business set-up.

Kaminario, a storage hardware provider, will add its products to the ERP software already deployed by the Israel Electric Company.

The ERP solutions are said to provide a base from which thousands of customers are served.

Dozens of processes and tens of thousands of transactions are dealt with by the SAP technology each month.

Yosi Shneck, chief information officer at the Israeli Electric Company, said: "Besides the significant speed and response time improvements, we have accomplished additional goals: the system is stable, there are no bottlenecks and there is no need for trying to improve and better the performances."

SAP recently announced it is launching an upgrade of its flagship ERP software – Business One – with numerous new features and tools compared to previous versions of the solution.
