A biscuit manufacturer has turned to SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software in a bid to improve the efficiency of its day-to-day operations.

Continental Biscuits has undergone a transition that has seen solutions by the worldwide technology provider installed at its base in Pakistan.

SAP Pakistan supplied the equipment, which is said to be based upon its Standard functions.

Hassan Jamal, country liaison manager at SAP Pakistan, said: "Through SAP implementation in their organisation, Continental Biscuits can achieve streamlined and optimised business operations, improved information sharing, increased supply chain efficiency, better process consolidation and simplified IT management."

Meanwhile, the publication confirmed a rise in efficiency and a competitive edge in the market are the aims of Continental Biscuits as it starts its journey with SAP.

Another firm due to implement SAP technology is pharmaceutical organisation BDI Pharma, which is also seeking to achieve greater efficiency, a recent report by Destination CRM revealed.
