SAP has declared it is ready to step up its operations in the Philippines, focusing on four key areas in a bid to bring its software to the attention of more people.
Darren Rushworth, managing director of SAP Philippines, is quoted by Inquirer News as suggesting the company wants to gain a significant share of the small and medium-sized enterprises market.
The areas in which SAP is aiming to thrive are mobility, in-memory computing, cloud computing and analytics, all of which could be shown off in its latest enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Mr Rushworth noted that the amount of data created in history up to 2003 was the same amount as has been formed in the last 12 hours.
"Question is what do we do with that data? Analytics is then more and more important nowadays," he explained.
Jim Hagemann Snabe, co-chief executive at SAP, told the National recently that the company is also interested in ensuring healthy levels of growth in the Middle East and North Africa region.
