ERP software firm SAP praises New Zealand government for IT work

Category: ERP Software

The New Zealand government has won praise for its IT developments and set-up from one of the world's most acclaimed technology companies.

It has been told by SAP, the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, that it is following the right path on its IT roadmap, reports Computerworld.

Vivek Puthucode, public services vice-president at SAP, said the government has made a great start to investing in the right solutions that will ensure a successful future.

However, he also warned that it must now switch its focus to business applications in the next stage of its development.

Mr Puthucode noted there is tremendous potential for the national authority to make a significant leap in terms of efficiency, should it replace all of its dated systems.

Taking on SAP's own solutions is likely to be a good move by the government, with the company's ERP software renowned for its ability to drive efficiency. With SAP recording its best-ever financial results in 2011, it seems plenty of organisations around the world are doing just that.
