Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software from market leader SAP is renowned in all four corners of the world – particularly, it seems, in Canada.

Mark Aboud, president of SAP Canada, has told IT Business about the progress the company has been making in the North American country.

The website noted that one of its primary aims in recent years has been to shed the image of a solutions provider that is only for large companies and one that is not channel friendly.

With these myths dispelled, SAP has managed to move forward in markets such as Canada.

"A couple of years ago SAP launched an innovation agenda to create what we call the new SAP. It's about innovation and growth and our customers are interested in exactly the same thing," Mr Aboud stated.

The Daily Telegraph this week quoted a report by the Moscow Times, which revealed SAP is set to fuel further growth by building a software centre in Skolkovo, Russia.
