SAP, a worldwide leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, has spelled out its determination to enjoy a lucrative 2012 packed with development and growth.
Hasso Plattner, supervisory board chairman at SAP, told the Wall Street Journal Deutschland that there are plenty of "good things going on" within the company.
Although the technology manufacturer was initially hit hard by the economic crisis in 2009, it has fully recovered after launching a string of new products and making numerous strategic acquisitions.
"Wherever data is being used and managed, there are astonishingly high possibilities to dramatically increase the performance of a computer," Mr Plattner stated, adding the implementation of SAP equipment at Yodobashi in Japan is a good example of this becoming a reality.
The publication noted that the takeovers of Sybase and SuccessFactors have helped SAP improve its position in the mobile and cloud markets respectively.
Dan Woods, writing for Forbes, recently said both analysis and integration are central to SAP's business philosophy.
