Further praise for leading technology company SAP has been forthcoming, this time in the new Yankee Group report.

The document identified the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider as a firm that is "ahead of the curve" when it comes to realising the issues facing users that rely on mobiles.

It noted that SAP's acquisition of Sybase two years ago has acted as a trigger for it to begin to excel in areas such as mobile software and its vast application portfolio.

With so many firms realising they need to integrate mobile device management and mobile application management solutions, the use of SAP solutions to aid this process is likely to be a popular and successful option in the future.

SAP recently announced the launch of two new social offerings - including the SAP StreamWork Brainstorming app - which it believes will boost the performance of users who rely at least in part on mobile devices.
