ERP software manufacturer SAP plots Singapore expansion

17th January

Category: ERP Software

SAP could soon strengthen its position in the Asian enterprise resource planning (ERP) software market after it opened a new headquarters in Singapore.

The SAP Research Centre and Living Lab will house facilities for approximately 100 researchers and scientists, who will work to improve the firm's technology developments.

According to a report by Today Online, the centre is due to link up with several of the universities in Singapore in a bid to identify talented students for future employment.

SAP has announced Singapore will now be known as its Asia-Pacific base and the majority of those working at the complex will be nationals.

It has previously been revealed by the Singaporean government that the country is planning to boost its research and development presence – and this deal is a significant step towards that.

Earlier this week, SAP confirmed it is in talks to launch a takeover of datango, a company that specialises in creating workforce management solutions.
