ERP systems are “an essential investment”

7th December

Category: SAP Business OneEnterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are considered by many organisations to be a crucial consideration for running their business.

This is the suggestion of Jyothi Mahalingham, writing for TMCnet, who stated that ERP software is often seen as "an essential investment" for firms looking to boost the efficiency of their processes.

According to Mr Mahalingham, this makes the correct purchase of this kind of technology particularly important.

He remarked: "The success of ERP implementation largely depends [on] selecting a precise system and identifying the right product vendor."

Companies were advised that there are four main areas that need to be addressed when contemplating buying a new ERP system.

These include making sure the software is right for the firm’s specific needs, cost-efficiency considerations, vendor support and the product’s features.

IT World Canada recently reported comments made by research director at Ovum Summit Warren Wilson that picking an ERP platform that matches an enterprise’s needs is a vital first step.ADNFCR-2732-ID-19499483-ADNFCR
