A company has revealed plans to implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) software by SAP in order to improve efficiency in a number of areas.
G4S Cash Solutions has told how the technology manufacturer will work with it to "transform" its operations, particularly when it comes to dealing with clients, reported Info4Security.
SAP's solutions will mean an end to the firm's existing database system, which is said to be complex and difficult to navigate.
"We need to have the systems in place that will provide the right efficiencies and processes, as well as the technology to enable us to interact in a better way with ... our customers," stated Declan Hunt, IT director at the company.
SAP was chosen to provide the ERP software as it is believed to provide a better fit with existing technology and tighter processes too.
Craig Dale, chief executive of the UK and Ireland SAP User Group, recently said that an increasing number of ERP software users are accepting cloud-based products in order to achieve the best results.
