A number of companies have been officially recognised by technology manufacturer SAP for the successful implementation of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

The organisation announced the winners of its annual SAP Quality Awards for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), which are described as the bodies to have introduced solutions in the best way over the last year.

In order to be considered for the awards, businesses must have achieved "excellent standards" of quality management, as well as experienced the benefits of ERP software soon after deployment.

Franck Cohen, president of EMEA at SAP, said: "The SAP Quality Awards celebrate the very best quality standards of customer projects that show excellent project management and execution, as well as delivery of significant business benefits quickly and smoothly."

International IT services provider Atos was recently highlighted as the latest company to have invested in SAP's ERP software, which it believes will help it to effectively monitor its social and environmental success.
