Flexible working practices are becoming more widely adopted in Britain, a new study has suggested.
The UK Family Friendly Report Card 2010, produced by the Family and Parenting Institute, recently scored the nation a B grade in regards to its commitments and achievements in striking a decent work-life balance.
It found British employers to be among the top European nations when offering flexible employment, which can be achieved with systems such as Citrix XenApp.
"A culture change is currently underway in Britain in favour of flexible working," the investigation noted.
It observed companies that employ such approaches, such as remote access employment, reap the rewards of more productive staff members and healthier family relationships.
However, the authors noted progress can still be made to extend the option to other firms who are currently not taking advantage of the method.
Spokesman for the Chartered Management Institute Mike Petrook recently suggested enterprises that adopt flexible working practices are more likely to attract the best employees.
