Firms wishing to offer their staff the opportunity of home working could adopt technology such as Citrix XenApp to ease the implementation of the process.

An expert has spoken of the benefits of high-quality workforce mobility and the significant take-up it is now experiencing among British businesses and workers.

Ian Osborne, project director at Intellect, explained that there is a growing appetite to adopt cloud services and work from various locations at different times.

"The rail strikes and snow [problems] over the year have given people the realisation that actually you can do a lot of what you do in the office at home," he stated.

Mr Osborne went on to name security as one of the key considerations for firms thinking of investing in home working technology, such as Citrix XenApp.

Virgin Media Business recently found that six-in-ten UK workers would like the option of working from home, but only one-in-ten companies is currently thinking of investing in the relevant software.
