Home working ‘is easy and cheap’

Home working is a subject that is becoming increasingly important to UK businesses and sole traders.

The trend is also set to grow further, especially next year when many London companies will be asked to implement the practice in order to relieve stress on the city's infrastructure during the Olympics.

Indeed, the Daily Mail recently reported that Transport for London chiefs are hoping a third of businesspeople across the capital will work from home next summer.

Now, Jason Keith, writing for the Boston Globe, has told of some of the major advantages of the popular working option.

He said these tend to revolve around the fact it is both easy and cheap, as well as the obvious solution for start-up companies looking to get off the ground.

As effective as home working can be, Mr Keith recommended using other local locations – such as a nearby Starbucks or library – as a way to meet fellow businesspeople and network.
