Businesses that turn to home working as a solution might find they suddenly enjoy an upturn in both productivity and revenue.
Steve Purdy, managing director of office space provider Regus UK, explained flexible working practices are becoming increasingly tempting to British firms.
He suggested that moving to versatile operations allows businesses to tailor their workings to suit their circumstances. Home working is just one of the flexible possibilities on the table.
The expert noted that it is likely to lead to "more motivated and energised employees", with both productivity and revenues taking a turn for the better.
Indeed, Mr Purdy quoted research that was carried out by Regus UK recently and found that some 68 per cent of organisations that adopted flexible techniques recorded a subsequent rise in productivity.
Home working is likely to be a hugely popular practice when the Olympic Games come to London from July 27th, as firms seek to remove their staff from the impending travel chaos predicted to occur in the capital.
