IT outsourcing a “key business strategy”

Small and medium-sized enterprises might want to think about turning to IT outsourcing as the method has been recommended by an industry expert.

Writing an entry at blogtn.trucknews.com, Gagan Goraya observed the practice has become a "key business strategy irrespective of organisation size and IT budget".

The specialist noted IT outsourcing could be a valuable tool for businesses coming out of the recession as it can help them achieve the two key objectives of reducing support costs and creating efficiencies through IT investment.

In 2009, more than 60 per cent of enterprises outsourced a portion of their computing operations to some degree.

The sector commentator explained the acceptance of support and managed services by a wide range of firms could have been triggered by the recent "rapid growth" in technology.

Chief executive officer at Presidio Dave Hart recently remarked IT outsourcing can be a useful way for companies to focus on their core business.
