Category: SAP Business OneEnterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP Business One, need to be fully utilised to ensure maximum efficiency.
That is the opinion of Lisa Anderson, president of LMA Consulting Group, who stated that organisations should concentrate on boosting the operating capacity of their existing platform.
She stated: "In my experience across multiple industries and globally, companies typically are utilising 20 per cent of their ERP systems capabilities."
According to Ms Anderson, there are a number of core areas that can be addressed to help raise efficiency levels within a firm.
Firstly, enterprises need to focus on the quality of data they are inserting into the technology, she explained, as garbage in will equal garbage out.
Companies should also look to develop reports and metrics to aid their decision-making processes, with this being one of the quickest and most effective solutions, the specialist added.
Earlier this year, AMR Research released a study that found improving the quality of external data being fed into an ERP system can significantly increase their performance.
