Motivated employees who are granted remote access employment can experience many benefits through the set-up, it has been suggested.

In an article for Helium, Michelle Wilkinson noted flexible working - which can be made possible with technology such as Citrix Access Gateway - can be especially attractive to staff members with young children or a spouse to care for.

The reporter observed individuals required to stick to a rigid nine-to-five job have to work their personal lives around these hours, while those who can work from home are able to achieve a more balanced approach.

"As long as you are the kind of person who is able to motivate yourself to put in the hours you should be able to meet whatever deadlines you like," the journalist added.

In a recent article for Small Business Computing, Katrina Williams noted remote access employment enables members of a dispersed workforce to remain connected to one-another.
