Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems provider SAP is to continue its focus on providing market-leading sustainability to its customers, it has been announced.
The Germany-based company noted the intended acquisition of TechniData - a firm involved in environmental, health and safety solutions - will enable the expansion of its sustainability portfolio.
TechniData has been a strategic partner of SAP for 15 years and employs nearly 500 people.
It observed it shares the vision of the software provider that green IT will be central to all business processes in the future.
Juergen Schwab, chief executive officer at TechniData, stated: "We believe that the scale of SAP’s development and field resources combined with our expertise
can help us bring the value of sustainability to customers worldwide."
Writing for DNAIndia, Amit Tripathi recently claimed SAP is looking at embarking on a number of environmentally-friendly projects in a boost to further its green credentials.
