Companies around the world have been advised that outsourced IT is one crucial aspect of economies in major countries.
India's finance minister Pranab Mukherjee has suggested that the monetary set-up of both his country and the US will be harmed if the latter stops outsourcing roles and responsibilities to the Asian nation.
"If [the] US stops outsourcing jobs from India, to some extent profitability of the economies will be affected," the politician is quoted by the Press Trust of India as stating.
He urged President Barack Obama to allow the uninterrupted flow of goods and services between countries.
Outsourcing IT work can be a good move for companies looking to increase their levels of efficiency and reduce costs, as they seek to remove fixed expenditure from their operations and rely on outside specialists instead.
Stephanie Overby, writing for CIO magazine, recently said that the key to outsourcing is to find the right balance between efficient service providers and in-house expertise.
