Outsourced IT can often be an option that companies prefer to handling work in-house, as it has the potential to cut costs and increase efficiency.
It is a highly flexible choice, with support at hand should anything within an existing IT set-up go wrong. One problem associated with dealing with tasks is that staff do not have the expertise to resolve problems when they arise - but this is not the case when outsourcing.
Such a view is seemingly shared by Indian newspaper the Economic Times, which has highlighted the process as one of its top five key trends for 2012.
It noted that the "mounting pressure" on companies in western economies to trim expenditure and enjoy value for money will mean many turn to outsourcing.
Pharmaceutical Online recently suggested many of the firms in the medical market will choose to outsource in the future, as a large number are under pressure to cut costs.
