Introducing remote access software can help an organisation to boost its efficiency and encourage savings, it has been claimed.
Wayne Evans, systems manager at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), stated that implementing such technology at his organisation has enabled it to maximise its performance, Business Weekly reports.
The RSC uses the platform to maintain electronic kiosks in theatre lobbies, which facilitate a patron's ability to collect tickets more easily.
He remarked: "Its flexibility to provide remote monitoring for our box offices and support for our electronic kiosks also helps us to provide the highest levels of customer service."
According to Mr Evans, remote access software has also allowed the firm's IT helpdesk team to monitor any PC or laptop used by the enterprise in the UK and across the world.
Writing for Computerworld, Solstice Consulting's Eric Rosenzweig last week commented that remote access software could help businesses to guard against the adverse effects of swine flu.
