Companies which implement remote access systems are likely to be more popular with female staff members, according to a new study.
Research carried out by iVillage shows that 86 per cent of working mums believe that the ability to work from home, using the likes of remote access software, offers them a far greater degree of flexibility in their lives.
Over two-thirds of respondents also stated that they utilise technology to make home working easier, using systems which enable secure access from outside the office.
The ability to work from home is also likely to increase female staff members' overall job satisfaction and work/life balance, the study found.
Meanwhile, remote access technology is currently helping the Aintree University Hospitals Foundation Trust to greatly improve the effectiveness of its operations, with 40 per cent of its 4,500 ICT-enabled workers now utilising its remote access system
