The speed at which enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from SAP can be deployed is on the increase, the Germany-based company has claimed.
SAP has developed Rapid Deployment software that it says can help businesses have their ERP systems up and running in as little as 12 weeks.
The firm noted the technology has been designed for organisations to address business priorities, gain quick time-to-value and allow a flexible path towards future growth.
Robert Viehmann, senior vice-president of solution assembly and packaging at SAP, commented: "Customers now have a tried-and-tested, low-cost way to quickly address their most pressing business demands without making compromises in terms of adding new features as needs evolve."
He added the software will enable users to turn their requirements into a portfolio of tangible offerings.
Trefis recently noted ERP is a major factor in SAP's leading position in the arena of application software solutions, which it estimates is worth around $62 billion (£39.5 billion).
