Simplification of decision-making processes is one of the main benefits small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can expect with SAP Business One, it has been suggested.

Charlie Lu, director of Ultimax Building Solutions - which has recently implemented the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system - noted the company wanted to gain a more complete picture of its operations, the Philippine Star reports.

The industry figure explained: "What made us decide on acquiring the SAP Business One solution is the software's ability to provide real-time information, which would help us make good decisions."

Areas to benefit from the installation include costing, a proper projection of cash flow and improved people and material management, he claimed.

Mr Lu added all the information he requires regarding stock levels and accounting are now available to him at a click of a button.

It was recently reported the SAP Business One product has been selected by small toy manufacturer Jellycat in an attempt to integrate its core business functions.
