Category: SAP Business OneSAP Business One is able to improve the control, transparency and accuracy of a company’s financial and accounting functions, it has been claimed.

Managing director of South Africa-based Hydra-Quip Bradley Flynn stated that his firm, which deals in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment, has increased its costing and invoicing procedures significantly since introducing the application.

"Our auditor is getting the right information first time, every time," he remarked, adding: "Debits and credits are totally accurate, debtors are properly managed and creditors are easier to deal with."

According to Mr Flynn, despite Hydra-Quip only currently using 20 per cent of the system’s capacity, the enterprise has seen a vast improvement in its ability to handle stock-taking and checking practices.

The organisation considered several packages, he explained, but SAP proved an "excellent fit" for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Executive vice-president of technology seminar expert K2 Enterprises Randy Johnston recently commented that SAP Business One is simple for beginners, but also offers a range of services for more advanced users.
