SAP – one of the world's most innovative designers of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software – may rely on its work with partners if it is to meet a series of ambitious targets.
According to Forbes, the technology provider has confirmed a number of aims that include growing its revenue from $12.5 billion (£7.91 billion) in 2010 to $20 billion by 2015.
However, it is said to be clear that this will not happen without the help SAP can call on from the fellow technology firms it works with.
The news source noted that the company is effectively taking a gamble on being able to expand its range of partners sufficiently to make the growth possible.
Should it do this, one consequence is likely to be a steep rise in the amount of products – such as pieces of ERP software – that SAP brings to market.
SAP recently announced it has launched a takeover bid for visual solutions specialist Right Hemisphere.
