Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from SAP can be used by companies to help improve their financial processes, it has been suggested.

The software can be utilised to better organise accounting transactions and material management, India News reports.

And the website used the example of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), which has selected ERP technology from SAP to control all of its enterprise resources in an integrated manner.

Sudhir Rajpal, managing director of the DHBVN, said the platform can improve in-office communication and encourage employees to utilise the system online.

The industry figure stated the application would cover all material procurement transactions and transfers.

Equipment maintenance and preventative handling schedules will also be improved through the new system, he added.

Globes recently reported SAP ERP can be employed by firms to make their financing and accounting operations more efficient in a number of ways, including billing and collection, stock level maintenance and procurement.
