Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from SAP could help companies improve their financial organisation, it has been suggested.

According to Globes, the platform can enable a firm to bolster a number of applications in regards to its accounting.

These include billing and collections, logistics, procurement and stock level maintenance.

The website noted SAP ERP has been selected by Meitav Regional Water and Sewage Corporation, which will utilise the billing and collection components to upload water meter readings transmitted remotely from distance.

Hanoch Milo, chief executive officer at Meitav, said: "The end result of the implementation of these advanced systems is the maintenance of a high quality, professional [and] reliable customer service."

The industry figure added the installation will also help expand the support system for carrying out broad infrastructure work.
