SAP ERP ‘helping to drive its growth’

21st September

Category: ERP systems

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from SAP are helping the firm stay ahead of its rivals in regards to application software solutions, it has been suggested.

According to Trefis, the Germany-based company's applications software business - of which ERP is a driving segment - is estimated at around $62 billion (£39.8 million).

The stock price specialists explained the technology - which includes platforms such as SAP Business One - is used to integrate an organisation's processes and data onto one, centralised system.

"For example, a bank might use ERP software to integrate its credit card savings account system," it noted.

The experts added the platform is SAP's most valuable business proponent - contributing more than a third (39 per cent) of the corporation's revenue.

Globes recently noted ERP systems from SAP can help companies improve their financial organisation, including accounting matters such as billing and collections, logistics and stock level maintenance.
