There are so many advantages to deploying enterprise resource planning (ERP) software by SAP that it can be tempting to complete its implementation as quickly as possible.

Adoption of a product such as SAP Business One is said to trigger improvements in accounting and financial management, drive sales opportunities and aid customer relationship management.

As such, it is important to get it right – but the good news is this can seemingly now be done in record time.

Bob Lewis, writing for InfoWorld, has revealed he met with Kyoji Kato, executive officer and general manager of Daiwa House's information systems division, in order to speak about the company's recent super-fast installation of SAP ERP software.

He noted that the lessons learned from the deployment are that it is vital to have enough staff in place to oversee the introduction of such technology, to know when a task has been completed and to avoid making issues overcomplicated.

Computerworld recently quoted Siavash Moshiri, consultant and SAP corporate master's program leader at Sheffield Hallam University, as stating that the UK must develop more SAP experts in order to ensure its solutions remain popular and successful in British businesses for years to come.
