Companies looking to invest in ERP systems could benefit from SAP Business One, a streamlining business solution specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises.

SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems can successfully integrate a range of important businesses modules, it has been claimed.

V Seetaramaiah, general manager of information technology for fertiliser product manufacturer Pradeep Phosphates Limited, noted that his company used SAP technology to help it to drive streamlining processes, UNML reported.

"We were looking for a comprehensive IT solution that would support our most crucial business functions," he remarked.

This included financial, human resources, procurement, materials management and sales and distribution, the IT specialist explained, with SAP ERP proving successful at creating enhanced buyer purchasing cycles and greater visibility across the organisation.

"Our new technology-based process infrastructure will act as a robust foundation for future improvements," Mr Seetaramaiah continued, adding that SAP upgrades will form a part of this.

ComputerWeekly recently reported that Burberry has achieved £50 million worth of savings last year because of SAP software.

Jason Ankers, SAP Business One sales manager at SAP Gold partner Codestone, said that success stories such as this are also becoming apparent in small and medium-sized enterprises.
