The Germany-based software producer stated at a super session yesterday (January 11th) that greener IT is at the forefront of corporate responsibility and profit margins.
Those attending the exhibition learned of the efforts SAP is putting into maintaining environmentally-friendly practices both in its own organisation and for software used by its customers.
"SAP can help retail companies increase productivity, reduce costs and promote ongoing profitability by ensuring customer loyalty, eliminating redundant processes, optimizing inventory and executing successful promotions," it stated.
Platforms developed by the organisation can also boost a firm’s chances of staying ahead of the competition by expanding their ability to recognise and capitalise on business opportunities, SAP added.
Last month, Robert Mick of IT consultancy ARC Advisory Group commented that proposals recently put forward by the ERP giant for its new products are on the right track regarding consumer needs.
