SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications are set to be used by one firm which believes the technology will help it take advantage of a higher market share and improve its performance.

According to House of Pearl Fashions, it will implement the SAP Best Practices for Apparel and Footwear package, as well as the Collaboration Folders application in a bid to reduce its monthly book-closure time and cut operating costs as a result.

The business - located in four continents across the globe - stated: "SAP ERP will allow the company to complete a much more efficient forecasting and planning process."

It added "an improved ability to manage cost and process work at a higher efficiency" will benefit the corporation as it looks to boost its share of the market.

SAP notes its Best Practices solutions can be used by companies of all sizes and helps remove "extensive configuration" from preconfigured business scenarios.
