Category: ERP Software

SAP products could be ideal for businesses with a strong green ethic that are looking to purchase enterprise resource planning software.

The organisation has revealed it managed to increase its carbon efficiency levels during 2011.

This is the fifth year in succession in which it has made improvements in this area, which means it is still on course to meets its targets on cutting harmful emissions.

Peter Graf, SAP's chief sustainability officer, hailed these developments as "significant strides forward" for the company.

"SAP has made sustainability its purpose, as business software innovation helps companies grow more profitably and responsibly," he commented.

However, he conceded that "more work needs to be done" in areas such as reducing the company's overall energy consumption levels over the next few years.

This comes shortly after Jim Hagemann Snabe and Bill McDermott, SAP's co-chief executives, expressed confidence for the year ahead and hailed the company's "significant momentum".
