SAP ‘important for SMEs’

1st June

Category: ERP systems

It is crucial that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) take advantage of the software on offer from enterprise resource planning systems provider SAP, it has been claimed.

The recommendation was made by SAP Philippines country manager Jennie Ligones as it was announced the SAP SME Expo 2010 is set to take place in the country’s Ortigas Centre on June 8th, according to mb.com.

Ms Ligones observed: "It is important that SMEs strategically leverage on business solutions that empowers them by allowing better business transparency and faster and smarter decision making."

Implementation of SAP technology can help such companies face up to local and regional competition, the industry expert explained.

The SAP SME Expo 2010 aims to show firms how SAP platforms can help them adapt quickly to changing market needs and execute growth strategies in an international environment.

SAP recently made public its acquisition of Sybase - a move the Germany-based company stated will enable organisations to become better-run "unwired enterprises".
